Lower Primary Programme

In this programme, we equip your child with all four essential language skills – listening, speaking, reading and writing. All lessons are presented using 21st Century technological tools which are engaging, stimulating and student-focused.

Students will learn from rich literature where the text is read out by native speakers, and be led through a series of verbal and written comprehension questions to develop understanding and critical thinking skills.

In addition, students will build strong retention and recall processes for vocabulary and grammar rules using both thematic and systemic approaches in each lesson. Through a series of progressively demanding writing activities, students will be challenged to expand their knowledge and develop higher order thinking skills.

Eventually, students in this programme will be equipped with all the key language skills for advancement into our ELLoquence® PSLE Advanced Programme and become English proficient for the PSLE examination one-year before taking the actual examination.

In this programme, our class teachers take an active role to provide scaffolding for learning and pace learning according to the ability of each student. Every teacher customises an individual learning plan and works closely with parents to implement a school-home programme which helps to close the learning gaps which are different for every student.
